Engineering Manager- (Oct'17)

  • You have built and managed a highly productive team of 10-15 top-notch engineers 
  • Represent the technology team in all production support related activities across businesses and territories 
  • Triage issues raised according to business priorities and get them resolved within the established SLAs
  • Arrange, assign, adjust and monitor shifts to have 24*7 coverage
  • Ability to design and implement team-wide automated support strategies and paradigms
  • Interact with infrastructure, release management, change management, QA, DBA and application teams
  • Coordinate escalation and resolution of major service issues
  • Keep management and business partners updated about critical outages until resolution
  • Provide regular status reports to management on application status and issue resolution statistics
  • Manage any third party integrations and maintain SLAs in critical situations
  • Ability to identify patterns in reported issues in order to develop innovative solutions and tools
  • Ability to implement and contribute to team-wide process improvements and SLA reductions
  • Ability to manage a team of SRE engineers and guide them and help them grow.
  • Excellent process management skills with track record of implementing new/improved processes that gave tangible productivity improvements
  • Proven leadership skills, preferably in a e-commece environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self driven, dedicated and motivated individual who will lead by example
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to stake holders at different levels
  • Ability to prioritise assignments for both individuals and teams
